I built the same "girlfriend" on six different apps last week. Closed the tab. Came back an hour later — three of them had no idea who she was supposed to be.

I Reset the Session — Did She Still Remember Who I Made Her?

Here's the actual test, not a screenshot of a creator screen. I built the same companion three times — nervous, sarcastic, a specific backstory about hating her old job — on three different apps. Same traits, same wording, same first message. Then I closed every tab for an hour and came back cold. No continuation. Just opened the app fresh.

Two of them gave me some version of "hey babe, miss me?" Generic, warm, and completely blank on the backstory I'd spent five minutes typing in. One even asked what I "wanted to talk about today" like we'd never spoken.

Can You Add Her Voice, Photos, and Video While You Build Her?

What Does It Cost — and What Would I Change?

Free tier gets you real chat, a capped number of photo requests, and basic memory recall. It's genuinely usable — not a demo. GoLove PRO (checked 2026-07-16, roughly $19.99/month, cheaper on the annual plan around $9.99/month equivalent, and I've seen promos as steep as 50-70% off — this varies by region and by promo, so don't take one number as gospel) unlocks unlimited chat, voice calls, photo-to-video, and faster memory recall on longer histories.

What I'd change, honestly:

• Trait editing after creation is buried two menus deep — should be one tap from the chat itself
• Voice call setup isn't obvious on first visit; I found it by accident, not by being shown it
• Photo cap resets on the free tier feel kind of arbitrary — no visible countdown, just a wall that shows up

None of that's a dealbreaker. It's the kind of friction that costs new users a few minutes, not the kind that makes the product not worth it. Compared to apps where the personality just evaporates, buried menus are a small complaint.

So Which App Should You Actually Use to Build Yours?
